About

nobody in the art world takes on the art in her world armed with nothing but her immense intelligence, pithy wit and ability to make outrageous claims without blinking an eye.

Having been told recently that I am a 'nobody' in the art world, I have created this blog as an expression of my desire to change this.

Please feel free to browse/comment on posts but be mindful that non-constructive comments are not appreciated by anyone. I do not claim any ownership of artwork images posted on the site. All images are copyright of their respective owners and images are for demonstrative purposes only.

100 Years

There’s something quite beautiful about an art gallery with a floor to ceiling glass exterior, at night, during preparation for an exhibition. Looking in from a distance, all the paintings are on the floor, leaning against each other and against the walls.

Walking past the UQ Art Museum tonight has put me in a good mood. Actually, scrap that. I’ve been in a good mood all day. But… yeah. You get the message. Nothing like something that usually puts you in a good mood to put you in a good mood when you’re already in a good mood, right?

Anyway. It got me thinking. Thinking, ‘I wonder what all those paintings on the floor are’.
